Keeping your brushes fresh

 

Have you finshed painting for the day, but not yet finished the job? This tip will save you washing your brushes until the job is finished instead of everytime you stop for a break. 

 

What you will need: 

 

 - Messy paint brushes 

 - Kitchen roll  

 - A little water

 

Tip: 

 

All you need to do here is wet the kitchen roll so as it is a little damp. Then simply wrap the damp paper quite tightly around the bristles of the brush to keep the paint from drying out and making them brittle and stiff. 

 

Then store the brushes out of direct sunlight and away from radiators etc so as the paper doesn't dry out. 

 

The kitchen roll should remain damp for around 12 hours keeping the brush wet and ready for use once again.
